Taking The Lead And Being My Own Boss Will Help Me Follow My Career Dreams

I was in eighth grade when my brick-and-mortar school had a Career Day. On this designated day, a variety of people came to my school and displayed their careers in stations. The day before the event, my homeroom teacher instructed all of us to research careers we would be interested in, so that on Career Day, each student would have an idea of which career areas needed a strong focus. Since there would be no way to visit to every career station at the event, having an idea of heightened focus was important to get the most out of it, as a student. I decided to investigate a career in a business setting. When I came across the career concept of an entrepreneur, I immediately knew that it was what I wanted to do, professionally.
An entrepreneur is a person who establishes their own business, based on an idea or product that they have created. Entrepreneurs take on most of the risks, and retain most of the rewards, of the business they create. My reason for wanting to be an entrepreneur stems from my desire to take the lead in my career path. I want to be my own boss. I want to be able to pursue any idea that comes into my mind, without hindrance. While others may not believe in me, I will always believe in myself… and I feel this is essential to starting down the road of entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurs are innovative. They develop ideas and then bring them to life. I am a naturally passionate person about the things that interest me, and I have always considered myself creative. Being able to pursue bringing one of my ideas to life would be the essence of a dream career. A career like this would make it so that I would always be interested in my work, passionate about my projects, and devoted to my path. Rather than working for someone else’s vision, I would like to work towards my own.
Moreover, I’ve always been interested in being a leader. To be able to build up a team from the foundational level would be a challenging task, but the results would be very rewarding. In addition, having a team that I created working with me, towards my business goals, would further motivate me to always do my best.
Last but not least, I want to be an entrepreneur because I believe it would be a rewarding and educational career pursuit, overall. I have a deep desire to be an innovator. I desire being freely able to pursue the development of my own ideas. I know that I will be able to take on any of the tasks presented to me in becoming an entrepreneur, and I acknowledge the risks I will be taking on, as well. However, these challenges do not frighten me. Rather, they ignite a flame of inspiration within me!
Always remember, as you contemplate a business and brand that you want to create, that you will need pre-defined S.M.A.R.T. goals, which are able to be implemented in steps. Each step along the pathway of your goals will lead you closer to your entrepreneurship objectives!
