Twelve-year-old pianist Ilyannie, a Washington Virtual Academies student, will perform at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall on March 15 after winning first place in the Crescendo International Piano Competition. A decorated musician, she has also earned top medals in international piano festivals and plays with the Bremerton West Sound Symphony. Beyond music, Gonzalez excels in technology and leadership, earning national recognition in coding and civics. She credits online learning for helping her balance academics with her many achievements.
