At just 10 years old, Kamani Brodie, a fourth grader at North Carolina Virtual Academy, has published her first book, As Brave As You. Inspired by her mother’s health struggles, Kamani’s story follows Mia, a young explorer who learns the true meaning of bravery. With encouragement from her grandmother, a published author, Kamani hopes her book helps others face their fears. She’s already working on her second book and dreams of making movies one day.
