This year’s Innovation Challenge theme is all about the environment, impact on the environment, and sustainability:

My Planet, My Neighborhood

Innovation is about big ideas, creativity, and problem-solving. Think about an environmental issue in your community or in the world that concerns you.

It can be that you’re worried about severe weather patterns or rising sea levels.

Maybe you’re concerned about pollution, clean water, or food scarcity.

Or perhaps you’re more interested in helping endangered species and disease prevention.

Stride and The Nature Conservancy encouraged students in grades 9–12 to solve some of our planet’s most pressing environmental issues in the Innovation Challenge. This year’s theme was My Planet, My Neighborhood. The national winner will get $1,000 donated to an environmental charity in their name, a $1,000 Amazon e-gift card, and so much more. Applications are closed, semi-finalists will be announced in January.
