Kevin: According to the National Center for Education Statistics, public schools have seen a rise in student mental health concerns. Since early 2020, 70% of public schools report an increase in student requests for mental health services, while 76% saw concerns arising in staff about their students’ mental health. What are students struggling with today and why? What is emotional wellness, and how can we encourage students to find it? What roles should schools have in supporting students’ mental health?
